Communication with them is just horrible.
When I sent the estimation of what we had to move (including some furniture) they came back with the estimated volume and price. They also let us know that if the real volume was more than that, we would need to pay up. Obviously, they calculated the volume on our list of effects, not on a call, or a video call or in any other way. The total volume came to be more, but we never had any proof on why that was more than the first estimation. So, forget about getting any proper proof about anything. We did not even get a contract signed with terms and conditions. They will tell you that it was written in their emails.
All communication happens by email, the only time we had them on the phone was when things did not go well.
Communication for pick up day and time was very uncertain. They blamed it to some wildfires happening in Spain but then the driver told us it had nothing to do with the fires, but with their truck’s navigation system that did
n’t work. The day before pick up, in the evening, they emailed us (again, email!) to let us know that the truck wouldn’t be there on time, but they were unable to give us an estimate on when it would be there. For a transport company that is quite poor. They do not know how to manage logistics, distance, rest time of their drivers, and coordinate other pick ups on the way. I find it poor.
They didn’t send us a tracking system until we did not start insisting for it through many phonecalls when we got just hang down and shouted at.
[Name removed by Sirelo] shouts at you. This is something that needs to be said because it happened on many occasions.
They told us that they didn’t know when they would be there to pick up our things. When you mix this to the stress of having to clean the entire place and doing the check out with the agency, it’s just unbearable. They blamed us for it when we actually needed to reschedule the check out to make sure we could still do it and get our stuff out of the apartment. And obviously, we had to reschedule again the parking permit which was an extra headache to add onto the rest of stress. They also have your address and instead of checking on Google Maps and Street View to see if they can go through with their truck, they arrive all commando expecting for streets to open to their truck.
They took our stuff, stored it and that was it, but we never got any communication about it. So forget about being informed about anything at all.
Delivery was a great headache. They just wouldn’t know when that would happen. We told us we were ready to get our belongings delivered and they said “ok, we will reach out to you then”, and that’s it. Nothing else. When we insisted a couple of days later to know when that would happen, they said they didn’t know. So it’s a transports company but they don’t know how to manage their logistics. When we told them that in Amsterdam we need a permit, they didn’t care at all. They said they never get one. So at the end we ended up not doing the permit and risking in having a huge fine for them unloading their truck for 5 hours. So basically, they don’t care about anything at all.
All in all, the most stressful experience living with the uncertainty of when they will come and just not communicating, except by email, with very short information. And if you call [Name removed by Sirelo], they will shout at you and hang up on you. At the end, they ended up costing more than a reputable and well rated relocation company. Never again.Read more
