We are foreigners ,new in Lisbon, moving from a small one bedroom apartment in the center of town (fully equipped with lifts and doormen) to another apartment (450 m away and 7 mins ON FOOT, fully equipped with lifts and 24 hr concierge). We were charged an exorbitant amount of 2,902.80Euro for the move which took them 90 mins out and 90 mins out. The men in charge were [name removed by Sirelo] and all actions copied to [name removed by Sirelo]. I was also required to pay for policemen, one to guard the removal and the other to guard the entry I was told. As we were present outside watching the move from the street , we can attest to the fact there were no policemen at either removal or entry. There are very few pieces of furniture and a few bags, and chairs, no sofa, no books. The computers we personally carried. I have received no response to my request for evidence that the police department was paid at the price of more than 600 euros we were required to pay for police participat
ion, and no response to a request for a proper paid invoice for the total 2,902 Euro payment.The invoices are neccessary and normal for our personal company accounting. The money was transferred to an account without proper invoicing before ,or after the move despite requests repeated by phone and by email 12 months subsequent to this move by Premier movers, we have moved happily to our permanent abode. We avoided using Premier Movers again and used an excellent mover recommended by colleagues.The similar move in the same neighborhood, for 500m distance, cost 80% less than the price Premier International movers charged us 10 months before. [Name removed by Sirelo] appears to have left Premier movers, and Mr [name removed by Sirelo] who is in charge does not respond to emails is unresponsive after one telephone call and several emails. We do not understand why Premier Movers Portugal will not issue the necessary paid invoices to all clients. Interesting, their website overtly states an unequivocal 'anticorruption policy'. This alone should stress that paid invoices issued to clients after payments are de rigeur. I would appreciate a contact from Premier Movers Sintra, and await their resolving this problem by issuing the necessary paid invoices as required by all international standards of movers business practices.
